TheTraditionalChickenBiryani To Cook: For Chicken: 1)Clean Chicken pieces and onion slices and marinate with(2 tbsp red chilli powder,1 tbsp turmeric powder,1 tbsp cumin powder,2 tbsp lime juice,1 tbsp salt and 1 tbsp oil) and keep it refrigerated for 4 hours. 2)Pour 1 tbsp of oil in pan and saute the chicken pieces and onion slices till they turn brown .(Chicken can be baked for health concious instead of saute for 10 min at 400 F) For rice: 1)For rice (soak 1 cup basmati rice in water for 1/2 hour) 2)Take 1 tbsp of oil and (3 cardamom , 3 cloves,2 cinammon sticks) in a pan and add the rice after draining off water and saute for 2 min. 3)Add 2-1/2 cups of water and cook it in a closed lid till all water evaporates. Final step:Put the cooked rice in the pan with chicken and saute both till they get mixed fully.
