Cardio bunny vs Weights Queen: I cannot tell you how much weight lifting has changed my body composition. Well, most of you have seen my regular transformationtuesday posts but even when I had reached my target (left picture) it wasn’t until I started lifting that I noticed a REAL change. With weights you can mould your body into something you want it to be. I’m not against cardio in anyway, I just think some people believe it is the key to getting in “shape” when it really isn’t. Almost 4 weeks post comp! 🙏🏻 - This year I decided to do a slow reverse diet. I had a casting 3 weeks after the show that I wanted to look my best for, plus, I want to keep my body fat as low as possible through out my next bulk in order to make my next prep less stressful. - Being an endomorph / mesomorph I tend to store fat very quickly mainly on my legs. From an outside point of view people think that I’m an ectomorph as I tend to stay lean all year round but this is 100% because of strict dieting and consistency. There’s 6 years between these photos. . . In the left im 19, the other was this summer at 25 . . Someone asked earlier if I’ve ever used gear. . . The answer is no. . . I’ve never used in my life. . . If I had, I’d be pretty distraught with this progress. . . 6 years, to literally only look a tiny bit better. . . There’s probably 5-6 kilos between these pictures, which in the grand scheme of things really isn’t much. . . There’s good evidence you’d be able to build half that in about 3 months with just a small dose of testosterone. . . So I’ve been trying for 6 years to get as big as possible, and I’ve really only made a little bit more progress than I could have done in 3 months with exogenous hormones. . . Natural progress is well slow, but you can still make really good progress if you’re doing the majority of things right. . . Getting stronger across a range of reps for every body part. . . Hitting each body part 2-4 times a week . . Eating protein consistently throughout the day . . Assuming people arn’t natty because they’re bigger basically makes you a🐱 . . As an aside, I think whether you choose to use or not it doesn’t matter. People should just be open and honest about it so people don’t get mislead and fail to understand what is and isn’t achievable naturally. . . There’s federations for those who want to use to compete in, and those that want to stay natty to compete in. . .
