BENEFITS OF DEAD-HANG ON BAR Your grip, your forearms, your lats and your abs will all be simulated with this isometric exercise • A great move for core stability, strength and endurance too • The position will help to correct your posture and decompresses your spine. Great for counter-balancing moves that can often compress the spine such as back squats & deadlifts. TIPS 💪🏼🔷 Focus on keeping your core stabilised. Look straight ahead, keep feet together and don’t sway. Take big slow deep breaths and when you exhale, tighten your grip and abs.

3 variations to help progress to full Pistol Squat 🔹Start by performing reps on a surface area that’s around knee height. Aim to lower yourself into each rep with full control, avoid bouncing and remember to press through the heel of the standing leg throughout 🔹Practice lowering towards full range and come back up using both legs to start 🔹When comfortable in the seated finished position hold a 5kg weight out in front of you to help counter balance your hips and offer a little more stability to the movement 🔹

Try this variation of planks and hold each position for 5-10 seconds. Run through 3 sets at the end of your workout. 👍🏻(Had to speed up vid to fit all in)🔹These variations were especially good for me as I begin to introduce single arm holds that target Scapular and Shoulder stability whilst simultaneously recruiting stability muscles of the core. Increasing tension from head to toe without doing anything potentially damaging to my recovery 🔹Long road but all good 😁
