I ate eggs yesterday. Day 7 of my cleanse. 🙈 We aren’t supposed to have eggs because they’re a known trigger for digestive issues, but I ate them anyway! This program is opening my eyes to some ways of thinking I never thought I would bring into my life. I’m not perfect and I’m taking it all in. Every meal is a fresh start to make good choices for our bodies. We all have moments of anxiety towards food, and my philosophy has always been to do what feels right for your body. Don’t stress. It’s just a meal! I’m loving what I’ve learned about myself in just 8 short days on The Clean Program. But also, how perfect are these jam-y eggs?! I mean, who could resist them! 😋

Soup is like a smoothie right? 😋 pumpkin, sweet potato, leek, garlic, ginger, zucchini, spinach, coriander, parsley all roasted and sautéed. Puréed it in a food processor. Added some hot water, cumin, cardamom, salt + pepper, paprika, turmeric, and nutritional yeast. Topped with sprouts, hemp seeds, and a seeded spelt cracker. 👌🏼 If this isn’t rainy comfort food, I don’t know what it!

Day 5️⃣ of The Clean Program ⚡️I haven’t had any caffeine and feel better for it so far. Missing my matcha lattes though! I’ve been switching those out for an iced turmeric latte, I’ll post the recipe soon. This morning’s monster breakfast smoothie: Almond milk base 1/2 avocado 1/4 cup sweet peas 1/4 cup blueberries 1 pear 1 kiwi 1 scoop raw/fermented vegan protein 1 tsp fibre blend A generous sprinkle of ground flaxseed A swirl of raw almond butter Ready to take on the day! 👊🏼☀️

Crust from @vitalitybakehouse 🍞 topped with some pesto, @daiyafoods mozzarella shreds, spinach, avocado, kalamata olives, green olives stuffed with anchovies, leeks, shallots, and roasted sweet potato. 💯

Lunch has become my favourite meal of the day! I’m doing a variation of The Clean Program. Basically eliminating all foods that can effect your skin, mood, digestion etc. wheat, dairy, caffeine, alcohol, night shades, soy, bananas and the list goes on. You have a smoothie for breakfast and a smoothie for dinner (though some days I will have a clean mea for dinner if I need it) and a big clean meal for lunch. Don’t be fooled, the smoothies are DENSE! No calorie limits and are full of so many good fats and fruits and veggies. You can have anything you want in your smoothies as long as it’s on the Clean list (which is long). For lunch you can whatever you want as long as it’s on the list. ☺️ I don’t feel deprived or hungry. I’m noticing more energy so far and less sinus congestion. Day 4 of 21. Loving it so far!

I’ve been making smoothies with a food processor, but today is the day we get a real blender! 😂 Today’s breakfast smoothie: Steamed then frozen cauliflower (steamed first to help with digestion), blueberries, 1/2 avocado, coconut milk, spirulina, flaxseed, @amazoniaco raw/fermented protein, topped with cacao nibs, coconut flakes, kiwi and some seeds/nuts. WHY am I using cauliflower in a smoothie? Simple. Less sugar! The cauliflower bulks up a smoothie just as well as a banana but without ALL. THAT. SUGAR. Steamed then frozen zucchini and cauliflower are the cool kids in town when it comes to smoothies. 😎

I think the last time I was in a proper gym has to be back in Melbourne — 10 months ago. Lately I’ve been doing all of my workouts in my yard or at a park/beach. It’s saved me so much money! I do miss weight-lifting though, I can’t lie. 🏋🏼‍♀️ What’s your exercise of choice?

🍃Pesto Ball🍃 Easy to make and DELICIOUS! In a food processor add: 1 cup raw cashews 3 large handfuls spinach 1 garlic clove Small handful fresh basil leaves 1/4 cup nutritional yeast Process together, taste and adjust seasoning as required. Roll into a ball and cover in hemp seeds, or your favourite seeds. Perfect for snacking, adding to bowls, toast, etc. 🌿😍

HEALTHY EATING❗️I wanted to chat to you guys about healthy eating and how important movement and nourishing your body is. I do not mean restricting diets, calorie counting, or obsessing over food. This is all nourishing, plant-based meals made with love. The photo on the left was taken last January. I’d been working in an office for years, buying lunches every day, indulging in the free cookies and snacks at the office, sitting for 8 hours a day. The photo on the right was taken last April. We were working on a farm and brought lunches from home every day and ate a nutritious home-cooked meal every night of the week. We were on our feet for 8 hours a day instead of sitting. It’s pretty spectacular what daily movement and home-cooked meals can do for our body and mind. I’m not suggesting that everyone quit their day job and go work on a farm! 👩🏼‍🌾 But if you switch your diet from constant takeout food to homemade meals it can change your life. If you can add in some daily exercise every day — even just 30 minutes a day, big changes will happen. Not only will your body change, but you will have more energy, sleep better, feel less stressed out, and truly be happier! Bonus: YOU WILL SAVE SO MUCH MONEY! 🤑 Small changes to your lifestyle can bring huge changes to your life. ♥️

Have you guys tried roasting your slaw? I highly recommend! Here's a simple slaw with red and green cabbage, carrot, macadamia nuts and broccolini. Tossed in apple cider vinegar, lemon and some salt and pepper. Perfect to add to bowls, with a main dish, or on its own. ☺️

Have to give a shout out to my partner Dave. Even with a busted wrist, (most likely going in a cast soon) he's started a 12-week fitness/healthy eating program designed by yours truly and we're going into week 4 guns blazing. Being active and healthy is 100x easier when your human supports you and is on board for all of your crazy new recipes and workouts. He knows the benefits of exercise, but like so many others, the motivation can be hard to amp up. So grateful to have someone like him in my life. When we're both healthy and working towards the best versions of ourselves, it strengthens our relationship and makes us happier! I can't wait to see his mind/body transformation at 12 weeks. So proud of you. 👊🏼

Apple + Oat Breakfast Muffins 🍏🍎🍏 2 flax eggs [2 tbls ground flaxseed + 5 1/2 tbls water - mix together and set aside] 3 small apples peeled & grated 2 1/2 cups organic rolled oats 1 1/2 tbls ground cinnamon 1/3 cup maple syrup 1 tbls melted coconut oil 1 tsp baking powder Dash of salt Blueberries for topping Preheat oven to 175C Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Scoop into a silicone muffin tray, or line a regular muffin tray with paper liners. Fill each muffin cup, top with fruit or nuts, place in oven and bake for 35 minutes. Remove from tray and let cool on a rack. Store in the fridge in an air tight container for 3-4 days. Enjoy!

🍩Vegan Cinnamon Glazed Donuts 🍩 Because sometimes you get cravings for Tim Horton's but you live in Australia. 😅 No donut pan required! These were a hit in our share house. Our roommates said they tasted like a sweet bagel. No refined sugar, flax eggs, vegan cinnamon glaze, and gluten-free flour were a huge hit. 💥 Perfecting this recipe before I post it. 🤐🍩 Don't be afraid to try a new recipe, even if you don't have the fancy kitchen equipment for it. I made these with a freezer bag. 😂
