Sunflower Cookies 🌻! I just released my tutorial on how to make these over on my YouTube channel - check out the link in my bio to watch it! The cookie recipe has a little orange zest in it which is a game changerrrr - the cookies on their own are worth making! Then I finished them with little petals of vanilla buttercream, a chocolate buttercream centre and a few chocolate shavings. The piping tip does all the work for you so they are easy to make!

Neapolitan Mousse Cake! This recipe has been 3 days in the making - after a failed attempt Tuesday I adjusted it slightly and finally got it to work today! Oreo biscuit base topped with vanilla and strawberry mousse, a chocolate drip (obviously), and then loads of fresh fruit to finish. I need to tinker the presentation a little next time - I put the chocolate on too soon after I took the mousse of out the freezer so it hardened and lost its shine 😏 But anyways, that's the best part of testing a recipe, I get to eat it again!! Enjoy the weekend everyone ❤️

The Dookie - a cookie donut hybrid! I feel like I've never heard of the dookie before so I'm copyrighting it. Chocolate and espresso wafer cookies with a French meringue buttercream, topped off with spraaaaankles! I made the swirls on top with a @wiltoncakes 4B tip 😊UPDATE: Apparently a Dookie is a dog 💩- maybe I won't copyright it 😂

It was SUCH a close call between the up vs down cake last week so I think they both deserve to win! Today I went for the 'mermaid tail' as I called it last week but I added a little blue ombré instead of keeping it all one colour (I should've made the top colour a bit lighter!) Nowwww for the flavour I went for vanilla but I accidentally put a tsp of salt into my buttecream instead of a pinch 😂 Soooo given that salted food is super trendy - I'm calling this a Salted Vanilla Cake, as long as the name sounds fancy, no one will ever know it was a mistake 😂salt makes everything taste sweeter right?!

I can't even put into words how chocolatey this tarte au chocolat was! I used a slightly darker chocolate than usual, and it worked so well with the sweet pastry and big mound of toasted Italian meringue! I definitely need to film a little recipe video on this 🤤 Thank you to Erin ( @cloudykitchen) for the chocolate meringue combo inspiration! ❤️

It feels so weird to make a pie that isn't left vs right! I thought I would go back to normal today with this strawberry and apple one. I went all out on the lattice and then decorated the edge with flower cut outs. I decided to create little bulbs to go in the centre of the flowers and they took forever 😂 but I think it makes it extra fancy 😊 She's going in the oven now - fingers crossed she holds her shape!

I am just obsessssssed with cake decorating right now! There's just so many different ways to decorate and I don't want to make anything else 😂 It's @everydaywithreay birthday so we're celebrating with cocktails and cake! The cake has a vanilla sponge with swiss meringue buttercream, raspberry jam and not any old chocolate drip - an up AND down drip!!

UP vs DOWN - who's your winner! I had a great suggestion last week from someone who said I should try an Up vs Down cake instead of Left vs Right so here we go! On top is a water colour buttecream effect and the bottom didn't have a name but I'm going to call it the mermaid tail 😂 So place your votes, the winner gets a full cake next week! Also side note - how prettttty is the wood backdrop?! I finally got to take some photos on my new table - we had it custom made for the new kitchen by @rccfurniture and it is an absolute beaut for food photography!

Don't these look just like mini oranges!? 🍊I’d planned an epic pastry for today, an orange choux au craquelin filled with a whipped chocolate orange ganache, a little dollop of ganache on top and finished with an orange macaron! If you saw my insta story though, my choux buns turned out ugggggly so I had to resort to plan B which was just using the macs! So apologies for two macaron posts in a week but I will try again and get my choux buns right so you can see the full idea :)

I've seen all these fancy swirly meringues on Instagram before and I thought I would have a go today! Turns out it isn't quite as easy as all the pastry chefs make it look but for a first attempt I was pretty happy!! I made a pâte sucrée with a little lemon filling, then topped it with a big heap of Italian meringue! Yum! 🍋

Nutella Eclairs! I must've made 50 eclairs today trying to get the right choux pastry and I finally cracked it! I topped them with a chocolate glaze and then a swirl of nutella cream (I used it for the filling too!), caramelised hazelnuts and a lil' gold leaf! I'm filming the recipe for them this week so it will be out soon 😊

I may have just hypnotised myself looking at this tart?! I decided today I needed to finally switch up my pastry recipe, and make something that packed a bit more flavour! So I’ve used the new @flora Dairy Free Walnut spread to create a lovely little shortcrust pastry, which I’ve filled with this silky chocolate ganache! I topped it off with a few crushed walnuts for a fancy garnish. If you want to give it a go, I’ll leave the recipe below for you! Ad PoweredByPlants FloraFlavour Pastry 225g Plain Flour 100g Flora Walnut Spread 1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder Pinch Salt 25g Caster Sugar 2-4 Tbsp Water Filling 250g 70% dark chocolate, roughly chopped 225ml Double Cream 1 Tbsp Flora Walnut Spread To Serve Crushed Walnuts In a bowl add your plain flour. Take the Flora Walnut Spread straight from the fridge and add it in cubes to the bowl. Rub the mixture together between your fingers until it reaches a breadcrumb like texture. Stir through the sugar, cocoa and salt. Slowly add the water 1 Tbsp at a time, adding just enough until the pastry starts to clump together. Flatten the pastry into a disc, wrap in clingfilm and chill in the fridge for an hour. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out your dough until it is about the thickness of a pound coin. Lay it over a 24cm fluted tart tin. Trim off the excess dough and blind bake at 180C Fan for 15m and then remove the beans, add a light egg wash, and bake for a further 5m. To make the ganache, add the cream, chocolate and Flora Walnut Spread to pan and stir together until melted. If your ganache splits and becomes oily, simply whisk in a 1 tbsp of warm milk at a time, until it is smooth sand glossy again. Pour the ganache into the tart shell and spread it out evenly. To create the design, place the tart on a rotating cake stand. Starting from the middle and slowly moving outwards, use an offset spatula and gently create swirls as you rotate the cake stand. Serve at room temperature or store in the fridge overnight. Sprinkle crushed walnuts around the edge just before serving.

IT'S A BOY! Kiddddding I'm not having a baby 👶🏼 It was a friends baby shower this weekend so I made a cake to celebrate their baby boy! This took me foreverrrrr to make but it was so worth it. The bottom layer is vanilla cake with vanilla swiss meringue buttercream and the top layer is chocolate chip cake with a chocolate swiss meringue buttercream filling. The whole thing was covered in vanilla swiss meringue, teal & copper macarons, raindrop kisses, gold leaf and a chocolate drip! I didn't really plan the 'accessories' to go around the outside so the meringues are placed a little bit randomly, and once it was delivered I realised I forgot to decorate the back 😂 oops!

It’s cake season! After last weeks cake debacle (which shall never be spoken of again 😂) I’m jumping straight back on the horse! I’ve got my birthday coming up, TB’s 2 year anniversary and lots of other celebrations! When I was growing up I always loved coconut cake, so I thought even though it’s not quite my birthday yet I would start the celebrations early! I used the new @flora Dairy Free Coconut & Almond spread which made the perfect light sponge and packed all the coconut flavour I wanted! Gold Forest Gâteau Macarons! So whenever I have an idea for something, it doesn't usually quite come out as I imaged but these were BANG ON! I thought I would put a little twist on the classic black forest gâteau but in a macaron version! I went for pink macs with gold feet, and then filled them with a rich chocolate buttercream. I finished them off with a gold brushed cherry! 🍒
