(second half of review) I wish the side number pad was tilted upwards by ~3mm to account for the lower left portion being so close to the mat, but beggars can't be choosers. This was the only mouse that fit my hand, style, odd request of lotsa buttons, and price range of under $70USD (got it for $50 at Best Buy). The weird thing about reviewing mice is that it's 99% subjective. Sure, it could have an incredible sensor, but everything else is up to the user. The reviewer that said it had perfect ergonomics could be terrible for another person because of the size of their hand and style (i.e. palm, fingertip, claw, and hybrid. I'm a hybrid of claw and fingertip btw). Now if this mouse was double its price, it would have been a hell no for me, but an honorable mention as it's a nice mouse. TL;DR - Number pad could be tilted upwards a bit to account for being so close to the mat and the software could be more intuitive and less odd to work with, but that's not factored in with the final score, just something to note. Great mouse other than that. Plenty of buttons for my preference. Great ergonomics (other than the number pad) considering hand size and style (hybrid fingertip/claw). Definitely a good mouse for $50. 9/10 in my book. Point redacted for the number pad deal. It's just frustrating to deal with.

A little over a day of use and the Scimitar Pro RGB (new mouse) is definitely difficult to get used to. The very bottom row of the side buttons (1, 4, and kinda 7) are a bit difficult to press directly with your thumb rather than rolling your thumb onto it and pushing. Also, the entire number pad can moved forward and back! I set it all the way back as I primarily use buttons 1-6, but definitely helpful for larger hands. It's hard to get used to, but I enjoy the large number of buttons. I set up the 11 and 12 keys to - and = as in PlanetSide, - is to pull out your knife and = is to set a "cruise control" and definitely helpful. Should probably move that to flash the headlights, though. I digress, the feel of the mouse is a lot different than my old Razer Naga Hex v1, but more comfortable as in it fits my hand and style as well as the ledge on the right side to rest your ring finger is better placed, for sure. Much more comfortable than the Naga. And now on to the software, Corsair C.U.E. It's not a bad program by any means, but not at all intuitive. I spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how to copy a profile (loaded on the computer) and paste it into the mouse memory (never figured out how, but I'll look into it more and then update this post later). The RGB control is very odd, the "advanced" mode offers less options l, which is strange. Overall didn't care for the program and thought it could be much more straightforward, but I use only one profile with only one DPI setting, so take that into account. DPI was very different than my Naga as in the Naga was set to 5600DPI with a laser sensor and I had to set the Scimitar Pro RGB to about 1450 to get similar results with its optical sensor. Side note: switching from a Laser sensor to an Optical sensor feels REALLY odd for the first hour or so and then it normalizes. Can do more pixel-by-pixel accuracy (if that makes sense) than the Naga and leading a target (moving the mouse/crosshair at the same speed as the target) feels easier. Could be a mix of the different sensor and ergonomics of the mouse, but I'll give it that. The Naga wasn't a bad mouse by any means, but my needs fit the Scimitar much better.

New toy! Gonna give this a test run for about a week to see how I like it. Pretty comfortable and the only mouse that fit my hand/style and had enough buttons. Ever since I had the six buttons on the side of the Naga Hex, I couldn't go back to simple five button layouts (left, right, DPI-scale/forwards-backwards, middle mouse). Will @corsair hold up to the test?

Alright let's be real, all of these "console peasant" jokes are all jokes. We respect your opinions but when you get dickish about it, then there's a problem. There isn't a problem OWNING one, but when you want about how it's the best damn thing in the world like it'll cure cancer and that PC Gaming is cancerous, then that's a problem. Hell, even I own a decent amount of consoles. 360, Xbone, WiiU, Wii, NES, SNES, N64, PS3, and even a Switch. I love the Mario, Zelda, and Halo games that are pretty much exclusives to their consoles. Now I could play Call of Duty on PC, but the optimization is terrible, which makes it difficult. Hell, chill on the couch with a buddy and two controllers and it's a bit of fun. /mini_rant
