How’s your hump day? Mines been pretty standard so far with uni and doing work but tonight I’m off indoor roller skating which I’m buzzed for wooooooo 🎉🎉🎉 will definitely end up on my bum but that’s why I do leg day right, to pad it out for protection! Anyway, here’s a super sweaty HIIT circuit for you guys to try as cardio whether it’s at the end of a different workout or as part of a cardio day! I started with some treadmill work and then moved on to this circuit and an abs circuit so complete my cardio and abs session! This circuit went as follows: 4 ROUND: ⚡️10 burpee with tricep press ⚡️12 box jump to tuck jump ⚡️10 side plank hold to walk up and downs ⚡️20 jump squat to bench hop Lemme know if you try it guys! Hello petals 🌸🌸🌸 How’s everyone’s Tuesday? I started mine with an upper body and cardio workout and spent the rest of the day with my pals doing a tad bit of shopping with the remaining money in my overdraft lol 💩 Recently I haven’t really had a workout schedule, instead I’ve been doing pretty much whatever my body feels like doing on the day and I’ve been incorporating waaaaaay more cardio cos I am looking to lean out a tad and also I forgot how much I love the feeling of leaving the gym sweating! I don’t think there’s any one way to train for someone - I thought I’d always prioritise weight lifting because I loved it so much for a couple of years but I’m starting to get back into sweaty jumpy workouts again and moving away from the body building training sessions! This doesn’t mean I’ll change it up like this forever, it’s just what I’m enjoying at the moment and I think it’s completely fine to chop and change your training style! It keeps me waaay more motivated! I think tomorrow I’m gonna try a cardio workout that my Mum sent me the other week bless her @mamastuttard 😘 I’ll see if it’s as difficult as she tells me it is!! Welcome to a new week my lovelies 👋🏽 What a cracker of a weekend I had in my fave city but now it’s back to the grind!! Hit up a legs and cardio workout this morning which was tufffffff but felt so good after!! Cannot lie, last week was a very very indulgent week in terms of eating out and takeaways (wow I don’t think I’ve ever had that many takeaways in one week) so I’m back to eating normally this week NOT RESTRICTIVELY - I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, don’t binge out and then starve yourself, it doesn’t bloody work like that!! So if you do have a slightly more indulgent week than usual, just try and get back into your usual routine and you’ll start to feel much better about yourself after no time, I promise! Good morning you ray of sunshines ☀️☀️☀️ Feeling good after a cardio sesh this AM and feeling even better after a PENG pizza from @pizzahut last night in celebration of worldpizzaday 🍕 This gal still isn’t restricting herself in the slightest and she’s still making sure that her training is on point (I’m gonna stop talking about myself in the 3rd person now cos it’s weird lol) But yeah, like I always say, eat what you want, when you want, just stay active and get your micros in and everyone’s a winner! Happy Wednesday/hump day my loves ☺️ Feeling a tad sleepy and worn out after a day of uni, meetings and revising but still managed to get a fab cardio workout in this morn!! Started with 30 mins incline walk on the treadmill - I find this easy cos I just chuck on some YouTube vids, usually about 3 10 minutes ones, and the time flies by! This time of cardio is perfect for fat burn if that’s your aim!! Then I did too HIIT/abs circuits, one of them I filmed for you but ran out of time to film the other one! So if you fancy giving it a try, the circuit went as follows: CIRCUIT, 40 SECS PER EXERCISE, 4 ROUNDS: ⚡️Knee to elbow to hand to foot (swap legs halfway) ⚡️Alternating jump lunges (bloody hurt after leg day yesterday) ⚡️Cocoon crunch with plate on feet ⚡️Banded squat to burpee to 4 jump abductions Lemme know if you try it my loves! Sometimes your gal gets dressed up and pretends to be girly 💁🏽‍♀️ Naaaa in all seriousness who said lifting weights makes you manly? I definitely don’t feel manly, I feel strong and healthy and I can still rock a posh jumpsuit and a red lip on the odd occasion!! Gallies, don’t be afraid to lift up the weights, it’s the best way for shaping your body how you want it to look and it strengthens your muscles to keep all your joints healthy!! The government guidelines recommend at least 2 resistance sessions a week to maintain healthy muscles and bones so there’s proof for ya that it is vvvvv important! Yes cardio is just as important but I can’t stress the fact that lifting some heavy weights will NOT make you look manly or “bulky” 💪🏽 Lemme know if you want anymore tips on weight training my loves! Here’s a fab circuit-based at home workout for you to try that really gets the booty firing and works your legs at the same time! HELLO DARLINGS HOW ARE WE ALL 👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽 Second week of placement has started and I’m feeling gooooood but very peckish!! Just went and did an aldi shop whilst hungry (first mistake) and bought a few too many treats if ya know what I mean 🍕🍟🍫🍭 It did come amongst healthy stuff too but I just couldn’t resist!! I always try and avoid buying treats because I know they will get eaten vvvvv quickly but we all make mistakes and if I fancy a bit of chocolate, I’m gonna have some!! Restriction leads to binging so try and enjoy the treats you do have and don’t stop yourself if you really really want something because you’ll end up binging on it way worse later down the line! Upper body is actually pretty challenging if you stick to just body weight - these variations of push ups are a killaaaaa on the shoulders, triceps and chest so give this workout a go to burn out that upper body 🔥 Can’t get to a gym? Good afternoon guys 👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽 Hope everyone’s having a lovely Saturday so far! I’m working this weekend so just trying to get a bit of revision done at the same time, nothing exciting for me! Had a fab fab fab week on placement and really happy with my choice to study physio as things go! Here’s a quick little motivational speech for you all lol: if you wanna do something but you’re already stuck doing something else because you thought that was the right choice at the time, it’s 1000% not too late to do something different! When I decided I wanted to do Physio, the prospect of dropping out of uni and getting my biology a level from home and reapplying as an external candidate all seemed sosososo daunting to me and there were times where I thought it would be much easier just to stick out my other degree even though I really really wanted to do Physio! So I bit the bullet, got my head down and literally did everything I could to get on the degree and I couldn’t be happier since! It’s definitely something I want to do and I’m already feeling very passionate about it! If anyone’s got any questions about the application process or what it’s like to get extra qualifications yourself or anything like that, then drop me a message and I’ll be happy to answer them! AT HOME WORKOUT NUMBER 2 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Here’s the cardio circuit I do before every home workout at the moment!! It only take 10 minutes and really gets your heart rate up and I even get a sweat on cos it’s quite intense!! Even if you only manage to get this done you’ll feel like you’ve had a proper workout so it’s perfect if you’re short on time!! The circuit has 3 rounds 💪🏽 During circuits 1&2 do the following exercises for 30 secs each and during circuit 3 do them for just 15 secs each but as fast as you can!! No rest until the 10 minutes is up!! ⚡️Running on spot ⚡️Star jumps with punch ⚡️Run run lunge ⚡️Ski jumps ⚡️High knees arms out to side ⚡️Jumping front kicks ⚡️Jump squat down side to side ⚡️Bunny hops Enjoy!!! It does get tough and the exercises get harder and harder but it’s soooo good for such a short workout!! AT HOME BOOTY CIRCUIT 🍑🔥 15 minutes of HIIT cardio followed by this quick but effective booty circuit was the perfect way to finish a full day of placement yesterday! I have to leave too early to be able to get to the gym before (it doesn’t open until half 6) and my off peak membership means there isn’t any other time for me to go sooooo for the next 2 weeks I’m compensating but doing bedroom workouts so get ready to see a few more at home circuits like this one! So easy to do really quickly in the evening or in your lunch break or whenever you find the time so no excuse beauts!! HELLO BEAUTIES 😘😘😘 Feeling much more relaxed today after getting through a practical exam today!! Just having a chill out before I get ready to go out and celebrate finishing with my course pallies!! Last time we’ll all be together properly for a couple of weeks when we go on placement so should be a good night! Anyway I started my day with a leg and booty session which focused on volume and plyometrics cos I’m still trying to up the cardio whilst still growing the 🍑🍑🍑 Ill film one of these style of leg days for you soon but it basically mixes some heavy lifts with jumping movements! Cardio & abs as requested 😘 Feel like I’m always so late to the game with new updates on insta and social media - didn’t know how to do a poll until yesterday but they’re so fun!! Anyway, hit up a big cardio sesh this morning! Started with 20 minutes of treadmill work - 5 minutes of incline walk, 10 minutes of interval sprints (30 secs on 30 secs off) and another 5 minutes of incline walk 💦 Then moved on to these 2 circuits! If you fancy giving them a go, they went as follows: Circuit 1, 40 seconds per exercise, 3 rounds: ⚡️Ab ball slams ⚡️Reverse lunge with back kick (swap legs halfway) ⚡️Burpees ⚡️Bunny hops Circuit 2, 40 seconds per exercise, 3 rounds: ⚡️Battle ropes ⚡️8 tap runs to 8 high knees ⚡️Kettle bell swings ⚡️Bench squat in n outs Lemme know if you try it guys! Happy Monday beauts!!!! First day back in lectures today so first day of waking up at 6 which was struggggggs 💦 Didn’t sleep too well being back in my own bed and not with a friend, and had a lot on my mind as this term is supppppper busy with exams and placement coming up! But I feel like I’m already back in the swing of things, normally only takes a day or two and then the routine falls into place! If you guys are struggling to get back into the swing of things, try scheduling your training in around your lifestyle for the week - this way you’ll be less inclined to miss it because you’ve got it all planned out! BOOTY BUILDING 🍑🍑🍑 Back in Leeds after a lovely few days in Manchester, visiting friends, revising and training! I start uni again on Monday so seeing a few friends before heading back down and getting my head down again for the next term! Hey bbys, happy January 3rd ☺️ Sorry for my strange skin tone in this pic, the gym lighting was very interesting @puregymofficial 🙃 Currently in Manchester staying with some friends till tomorrow and we’re all in the midst of exam season so back to productive days! HAPPY NEW YEAR MY DARLINGS 💖 2017 was full of ups&downs and I’m definitely ready for the new year so bring on 2018!! Here’s my current shape to go into the new year with - I train consistently but eat what I want when I want, sometimes that’s salads and eggs on toast and sometimes that’s margherita pizza and chocolate santas 😏 But I am going to make it my mission to incorporate more cardio into my training for a healthy heart and lungs and to also get some more veggies into my diet! MERRY CHRISTMAS EEEEEEVE EVERYONE 🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽 1 more sleep til the big guy comes!! Squeezed in my last workout in the barn gym today (bless my mum for setting it up 💖) and mixed up legs, cardio and abs to get a nice sweat on but also work on my booty and abs 🍑 The weights can be taken out so this workout can be done entirely at home with no equipment so if you fancy it maybe on Boxing Day or in the new year to kick start those New Years resolutions then the workout went as follows: SQUAT TO STEP UP 4x10 HIP THRUSTS 5x10 Circuit 1 x3: Box squat to burpee x15 30x side bench jumps 20x side hops over bench Circuit 2 x3: 8 mountain climbers to 4 in n outs x10 Reverse lunge to knee up x10 each leg Exercise ball hand to leg swap x20 Lemme know if you try it guys! Happy Christmas Eve Eve elfies 🎅🏽🎅🏽 Full body HIIT circuit for me today in the barn! I’ll get one filmed for you guys soon so you can see what can be done at home with very limited equipment! This circuit was slightly booty focused as I’m still working on hypertrophy (muscle growth) with my glutes but just endurance on the rest of my body for now!! The ideal hypertrophic range is thought to be in the rep range 8-12 with a weight that feels difficult by the last 3 reps so if you’re looking for growth, try and stick to that! Anyway have a fab Saturday my loves! 2 nights till the big guy visits us all! Hello from France my loves 💖 Currently visiting Mama over the Christmas period here in France so that means it’s all about home workouts for a while! If I’m being completely honest, I am looking to burn a few more cals at the mo (I don’t wanna call it a cut because I don’t like the sound of the restriction) so by focusing on at home HIIT workouts whilst I’m out here means I can focus on burning some calories to shed a few lbs! By all means, I’m not saying that I NEED to do this at this moment in time, but I’m taking it as a good opportunity to up the cardio whilst I can because it will make me feel slightly better in myself and that’s the whole point of fitness right? To feel better about ourselves! So don’t be afraid to change up your routine my loves if you’re not seeing the results you would like! We’re all out there trying to improve ourselves so if that means a little extra cardio and fewer treats then so be it! (Don’t worry I won’t be decreasing my treats that much over the xmas period!) FULL BODY WORK 💪🏽 Managed to get a day pass to a local gym in kings hill yesterday before I flew to Scotland so decided to get a full body workout in whilst I could! I usually add one of these bad boys in if im short for time OR bored of my training, cos sometimes it can be a bit tedious just working one muscle group - so if you fancy blasting your whole body, give this workout a go!
