Moment of silence to appreciate the crust of this pizza from @pizzaporta in Asbury Park, NJ. 🙏🏼 . . . For a pizza to be a true Neapolitan Pizza, one must use San Marzano Tomatoes DOP grown at the foot of Mount Vesuvius. Don't worry, @wholefoods carry's them at 10x the price of the average can. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Dollar slices taste like million dollar slices when you're hungry. Stopped at Vinny Vincenz for the NYC special. . . . From flatbread in mud-huts to the tables of Napoli, pizza or its distant cousins have always been a part of Mediterranean life. Once tomatoes made their way to Naples in the 1500's, the rest was history. Slice this. 🍕🍕🍕

Fun fact: According to @factretriever, in some African ceremonies, it was a sentiment of well wishing to greet the new bride with the words: “May you bear 12 children with him.” 🤷🏻‍♂️

Digging for records for a @spotify FridayCratediggers style photoshoot in @jacksmusicshop Red Bank, NJ. Nothing sweeter than the feel of vinyl. . . . Jimmy Savile is said to have been the first "dj" who used multiple turntables to switch between songs while hosting the first dance party of its kind in 1943. I am a firm believer that many undocumented bedroom djs were doing it before him but who knows 🤷🏻‍♂️

Grilled zucchini, smoked mozz, and fresh basil top the "CAMPANA" at @viadellapace in NYC. Don't sleep on the deliciousness.... . . . The "bruschetta" and "crostini" are cousins from Italy. While the crostini normally hails from Venice, the bruschetta is traditionally from the Abruzzo region most popularity topped with diced tomatoes and garlic.

Brick oven crostini's w/ Moliterno Black Truffle cheese from Sardinia and @avignonesi Olive Oil. Can't get no better than this. Thanks @sicklesmarket for the cheese. . . . Moliterno is typically made with 90% sheeps milk and 10% goats milk. It is formed for 24 hours and rubbed with olive oil to retain its moisture. If you fail to plan to eat this, you plan to fail to satisfy yourself.

Had the pleasure of dining on @topchefusa Chef Nikki Cascone's ( @mothercheffer) poached lobster salad with locally sourced lettuce and mango. It was everything you see here and more. . . . Poaching is different than simmering or boiling as it uses a low heat typically around 160–180 °F to cook a particular food. Keeping the temperature low will prevent overcooking and preserve the flavor of the food. TheMoreYouKnow

One of my favorite @thediscofries shots taken on one of the oldest production lots in Hollywood, CA. Too legit. . . . Hollywood, CA was established in 1853 and by 1910 the first silent film was produced in the city. Because Thomas Edison's Motion Picture Patent Company held most motion picture patents in NJ, most filmmakers moved west where patents wouldn't be enforced.

Rosé and cheese wins for any meal of the day. If you don't agree, get out of the house 😜 . . . A proper Rosé is made with red grapes. The skins are typically pulled out of the fermentation process early on and leave a light, dry wine behind. Don't fall for the fakes.

Char grilled swordfish with a side of whole wheat rigatoni tossed with sautéed broccoli rabe and topped with pecorino Romano. Full for the next 14 hours. . . . Most people steer clear of broccoli rabe as it can have a harsh bitter taste if not properly cooked. Avoid that by boiling the greens for 6-7 minutes and then giving them an immediate ice bath. Toss in olive oil, sea salt, and hot pepper. Thank me after you taste it.
